As of January 2026, the Qur’an Literacy Program has entered its third year!

The Qur’an Literacy Program (QLP) is one of the signature educational initiatives developed by the M. Hasna Maznavi, Founder of the Women’s Mosque of America, designed to increase accessible, contextual engagement with the Qur’an for a broad and diverse community.

Qur’an Literacy Program Discussion Circles

The Qur’an Literacy Program (QLP) includes co-ed, women-led English readings of the Qur’an accompanied by facilitated monthly discussion circles. These discussion circles provided a structured space for participants to reflect on their learning, share insights, and explore how sustained engagement with the Qur’an shaped their spiritual lives and sense of responsibility in the world.
